Do you know if your social media ad works or not? As a business owner, you probably have several social media accounts to enhance your online brand.
But having these accounts and earning some "likes and shares" here and there brings you the results you want?
Here are 5 signs that it's time to take your social media ad to the next level.
1. You receive a few likes or comments
We are talking about individual likes of posts, not page likes. When people are busy with your posts, it is a sign that they like what you are posting. And the opposite means that your posts have little impact. Thus, the "number of followers" is not a measure that is everything. you can have a million followers, but if they do not like, do not share or comment on your posts, it does not matter.
Look at the number of commitments generated by your average posts, including likes, notifications, comments and retweets.
2. Your advertising strategy is secondary
Take a few minutes and think about your strategy. Do you have long-term goals? Do you have short-term goals? Is there a reason you use a particular platform? How do you plan to get more involved?
If you do not have consistent answers to these questions, is your marketing strategy secondary or do you have no marketing strategy at all? You just float, hoping for the best. Do not do this! Write down what you want to achieve. Make a list of many long-term goals and some short-term goals. Find out which is the best platform for your brand and business. Have an outline of what you want to post ahead of time and how you want those posts to improve engagement.
3. Most of your posts are self-promotional
If you browse the new streams of your brand, which posts do you see? Are they fun, informative or conversational posts? Or do most of them represent your brand products or services?
If most of your posts have your products or services, then you are losing your audience. People do not like to be advertised constantly. Instead, take your social media marketing to the next level by being personal and connecting with your audience.
4. You have not checked your Analytics for months
Advertising is based on data. What has worked in the past? What did not work? Do not repeat the same mistakes. Always check your social media profile at least once a week.
5. Can you remember the last time you had a conversation with a follower?
Discussions will keep people coming to your page. It's not enough to post a link to a blog and end up with it. If someone asks you a question, be there to answer it. And if they do comment, you have to acknowledge them.
Recognitions and commitments will make your fans feel valued and appreciated. If you can not remember the last time you had a conversation with a fan, you need to upgrade and improve your marketing strategy.
